North Mankato, MN

We are raising funds to put an Avive AED in an enclosed, temperature-controlled, cabinet in the Mankato area in memory of Faith Larsen, age 19,  passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2022.

Miss Minnesota Emily Schumacher and the Larsen family will work together to  determine a location in the Mankato, North Mankato and surrounding community.

As of 4/1/2025 2 locations have been installed:

1.  Mankato West High School Mankato MN

2.  Wheeler Park North Mankato MN

This is an ongoing fundraising effort. 

Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the leading cause of death in the US.  95% of victims die before reaching the hospital or other sources of emergency help.  Time is of the essence

An AED (Automated Electronic Defibrillator) used within 4-6 minutes can turn a survival rate to 75%.

Our goal is to raise $10,700 which covers the cost of the AED unit, Outdoor cabinet, signage, CPR/AED training, installation, dedication plaque and 2 years of monitoring.
