The Center for Changing Lives – Liberia (CCLL) has been inspiring hope and changing lives since 2016. Our primary mission is to give vulnerable Liberian girls and boys an education and hope for the future, despite the many challenges they have already faced.

The new school year in Liberia begins in November, and our CCLL scholars are anxious to resume their studies. We’re asking for your financial support so that CCLL can continue to provide students with education, mentorship, and skill development.

Currently CCLL sponsors the tuition of 80 young scholars ranging in age from 5 to 20 years old. Through CCLL, girls and boys who have lost their primary provider due to Ebola or AIDs live with host families, receive an education, healthcare and life skills support from CCLL employees, social workers and counselors.

During the Covid pandemic, schools in Liberia were closed as in many other countries. The local economy was also devastated. The critical need became food. And so, over the last year money raised for tuition was used instead for essential food supply.

The good news is that Covid has not taken a stronghold in Liberia to date. Schools did re-open and grade levels were completed by late summer 2021. One of the great success stories of 2021 is that several CCLL scholars graduated from high school. This is our first graduating class, and donors like you helped make that happen!

Will you make a financial donation to ensure that CCLL continues to bring education and opportunity to vulnerable Liberia girls and boys?

  • A gift of $75 provides a bag of rice to the host family of a CCLL scholar.
  • A gift of $150 pays the tuition of one CCLL scholar for a year.
  • A gift of $1000 pays the salary of a CCLL support staff member for a year.
  • A gift of $2000 pays the college tuition of a CCLL scholar for a year.
  • A gift of $5000 pays for construction supplies for a building on the new CCLL campus.

The pandemic prevents us from gathering in person, so we are asking you to join our online community and donate now.
