MOVO SPACE is a 2500 square foot raw industrial space with a wood floor and co-run by two Minneapolis performance makers - Valerie Oliveiro and Morgan Thorson. With the uncertainty that we live with during this pandemic, and the closing of many beloved art spaces throughout the Twin Cities, and it is urgent that we keep this creative space alive.

MOVO has been a growing presence in the Twin Cities visual art, photography, dance and performance community for the last 18 months. Located in the Ivy Building for the Arts in Minneapolis, it serves as a safe incubation space for a diverse community of artists, photographers and performance makers. Many artists that use our space are BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ and low income.

Our mission is to serve as a creative incubation and small-scale performance space in the Twin Cities, offering affordable space to diverse local performing and visual artists to create and present art or performance work.
