Education has always been at the core of the Minnesota State Fair’s mission – to be an educational, engaging, world-class showcase that is innovative, entertaining and fun. In 2020, while the State Fair is weathering a year without nearly all of our operating revenue, we know that Minnesotans are persevering through tough times too – we’re especially thinking about our young future fair fans.

The challenges of learning this year are overwhelming for many students, whether they’re attending school from home, in-person or a combination of the two. As technology becomes a major component of education, this reality is particularly daunting for our neighbors without access to adequate devices or reliable, affordable internet.

Just as we get-together in most years to celebrate summer’s end - and as we’re getting together this fall to enjoy fair food - we invite you to consider supporting Partnership for a ConnectedMN, working to provide families across urban and rural Minnesota with access to computing devices, internet connectivity, and the supportive services needed to equitably access school.*

Through the generosity of attendees at the State Fair's Fall Food Parade and other fans of the Great Minnesota Get-Together, we hope to exceed our goal of collectively raising $25,000 for nonprofits, school districts and organizations throughout the state supporting students with the technology and connectivity tools they need to learn, thrive and prosper.
