Support and Encourage Tomorrow’s Environmental Leaders
The Mahtomedi Area Green Initiative (MAGI) Environmental Leadership Award provides a $1,000 merit-based scholarship to a Mahtomedi High School senior who exemplifies commitment, innovation, and leadership in addressing environmental issues. Established in 2011 with seed funding from Vicki and Si Ford and their family, the award provides community encouragement and support to young adults as they strive to gain the knowledge and skills needed to shape a more resilient and sustainable world. Your contribution will help the fund reach the $25,000 level needed to become self-sustaining.
Give today to invest in the leaders of tomorrow!

Photo of Brennan Johnson, winner of the first MAGI Environmental Leadership Award granted in 2012. Brennan is an environmental humanities student at Whitman College in Washington. Two summers ago, Brennan traveled around the American West with an environmental documentary production company, gathering footage for a documentary on the role of beavers in mitigating climate change. “All of this has been made more possible through the MAGI scholarship,” Johnson says, “a scholarship that I am still highly grateful to have received.”
