As we stand on the brink of a remarkable milestone—the centennial of Dorothy's Winter and Point Cabins—we are reminded of the profound history and cherished memories these structures embody.
Log cabin leveling is not just a maintenance task; it is a vital commitment to safeguarding the very heart of our heritage. Periodically, action must be taken to mitigate the effects of the relentless freeze-thaw cycle, seasonal storms, and the passage of time. This process will also prevent new problems, restore functionality of sticky doors and windows and bring cracks in walls back together, improve drainage and airflow and minimize the potential for mold, dry rot and pest intrusions.
The Dorothy Molter Museum is dedicated to honoring Dorothy's irreplaceable legacy, but we cannot do it alone. Your generous support can directly contribute to these essential preservation efforts, helping us offset the costs and maintain the rich tapestry of history that connects us all. Join us in this heartfelt endeavor to protect and celebrate a legacy that deserves to be cherished for generations to come.
