This is the official kick-off for Spring Valley’s United Fund Drive for 2020. We have seen a decrease in contributions over the past few years while the needs of these non-profit organizations are rising. We are trusting the community will be generous in supporting our local, county and area charities as we have done over the past 47 years. Hopefully you will consider increasing your donation this year, and we always welcome new donors.
If you work out of town, please consider donating directly to the Spring Valley United Fund rather than through your employer as a fee is charged by different counties to disburse funds to organizations such as ours.
We are not affiliated with any national parent organization so our only expenses are for printing and mailing. Your United Fund is administered by a volunteer Board of Directors that includes Jan Brick, Kim Brown, Marlene Foster, Carol Gross, Julie Hutsell, Rick Kvam, Dave Phillips, Judy Rose, Ann Thon and Jay Webster
We consider requests from various charities, giving priority to local charities who do not conduct major, independent solicitations. The designated organizations are Fillmore County Advocates, Fillmore Co. Developmental Achievement Center, Maple Leaf Services (Fillmore Place), Semcac Rolling Hills Transportation, Special Olympics of Fillmore County, Spring Valley Cub Scout Pack 93, Spring Valley Girl Scout Service Unit 411, Spring Valley Historical Society, Spring Valley Ministerial Association, Spring Valley Public Library (SELCO Foundation), Spring Valley Senior Dining/Meals on Wheels and the Women's Shelter (Fillmore County).
Donations and gifts in honor or memory of a designated individual are accepted during the campaign and throughout the year. Your support is needed and appreciated by the charities you contribute to through the United Fund of Spring Valley.
