PeaceMaker Minnesota has been supporting Lake Park-Audubon High School since 2010.

Your contribution will be used to match donations by Lake Park Audubon High School employees.  Thank you for your generosity.

Your gift will help kids learn things like empathy, respect and how to resolve conflicts without breaking relationships.  Your gift will help prevent bullying and help kids learn positive relational skills that they can use throughout their lives.

PeaceMaker Minnesota helps schools to:

• Assess the effectiveness of their bullying prevention efforts and to make improvement plans
• Raise contributions to help schools purchase curriculum, obtain training, bring in speakers, etc.
• Recognize and fund teachers implementing programs that research shows to be effective
• Train teachers, administrators, support staff and bus drivers on how to prevent, recognize and stop bullying
• Implement a peer mediation program
• Receive classroom workshops by individuals with developmental disabilities to help students develop empathy, include people who are different, to use kind – Person First – language, and to promote acts of kindness.  

Our strategy is to help schools use the best practices in youth violence prevention education and to develop sustainable funding for their work.
