Because of the Pandemic we are unable to hold our annual fundraising breakfast.  That makes it even more important for The Lower Phalen Creek Project to receive your financial support to help us continue with our Mission.  Right now it is critical to have a sense of community, a sense of natural place. More than ever, we need spaces that ground us, spaces that help us process the stressful moments in our lives. We need spaces that remind us that we are part of a neighborhood, part of a community, part of a society, and part of a wide, wide ecosystem.

Our work at Lower Phalen Creek Project centers on supporting and nourishing all aspects of our collective ecosystem, from people to plants and back again. Donate today, and you'll allow us to continue our mission of connecting people with the natural, sacred, and cultural spaces across the East Side.

A gift of $25 will cover 500 sq feet with native prairie grass

A gift of $50 will plant 36 native wildflowers

A gift of $100 will plant 2 trees (talk about stretching your money!)

We regularly partner with neighborhood organizations and local experts to provide our monthly environmental education programs. A gift of $250 will support one of our many guest speakers and ensure we can continue to collaborate with knowledge keepers in our community.

Our work would not be meaningful if it failed to engage the younger and future generations of our communities. Much of the initial environmental cleanup work that created Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary was done by young people, and many of the plants you see in our green spaces today were planted with the help of elementary and high school students. A generous gift of $500 will support one youth member in our upcoming Indigenous Youth Environmental Action Team summer program.

In addition to our regularly scheduled programming and activities, we strive to be a fixture in East Side community gatherings. As often as we can, we look to celebrate the healthy environment we have sustained with our many partner organizations. Your generous gift of $1,000 or more will support large-scale programming like our annual Pollinator Festival, and allow you to demonstrate your commitment to a vibrant and thriving East Side ecosystem. All gifts will be recognized and celebrated in our annual report!
