I started working at The Link a year and a half ago as The Passageways Emergency Shelter Case Manager. It's the most rewarding career I have ever experienced. I work with youth who are ages 12-18 years old who have been sexually exploited or trafficked. I wake up everyday excited to go to work with amazing youth who have unfortunately experienced more trauma than any young person should. I recently was promoted to The Link Outreach and Aftercare Specialist and follow up with youth once they leave our shelter. I've seen so many success stories that make what I do worth getting up everyday. There has been youth who were the first to graduate high school in their families, youth who were adopted by their foster families, and youth who have moved into their first apartment. Any donation helps support a victim of human trafficking have a safe night sleep, food, clothing, life skills groups, activities, medical care, and legal aid.
