That photo of me* is seven years old. Today, I look exactly the same.** How? Through the magic of improv.
OK, that's not what improv does. It does, however, bring people and communities alive. It opens hearts. It strengthens ties. Oh, and it makes people laugh. That's pretty good.
HUGE Theater has been doing all of that since 2010, and took a big step last year by buying a building. Unfortunately, there were unexpected hitches: a delayed opening, a withheld security deposit, a surprise $200,000 HVAC installation demanded by the city, and more. Push has come to shove.
HUGE has always paid its bills, and it has a sustainable plan for the future. It just needs a little help getting to the future.
I've been part of this community for about ten years now. If you've known me longer than that, you know it's made me a better, happier person. If you've met me in the last five years, it's probably because of HUGE – either directly, because you were there, or because being a part of HUGE has made me a more confident person who goes out into the world and meets people. People like you.
Please join me in keeping a place alive that can do that for people.
