Support Jesse in purchasing a Black owned space for folks to gather, celebrate and build community.

$850

raised by 8 people

In case you’ve been wondering what I’m up to…

So, I’m buying a building.

Yep, a whole building. And you know what’s going to live and grow in this building?  Black and Brown businesses. Indigenous businesses.  Women owned businesses. Makers. Entrepreneurs. Community. Change.

Here is what this building will do:
* Provide rental space for Black, Brown, Indigenous, women owned businesses to build grow and scale their businesses
* Provide an opportunity for them to have a landlord who looks like them, is from there community and understands the challenges against them
* Create Black ownership in my community
* Secure space in North Minneapolis that Black and Brown folks won’t be able to occupy in the future, as development in the area increases
* Offer an community gathering space (of which there aren’t many in North Minneapolis) for people to gather, celebrate, build community
* Create a legacy for my family
* Start building generational wealth
* Create a blueprint for holistic change in north Minneapolis

I am not asking you to invest in this idea.  I’m not asking you to donate to this idea.  I’m asking for you to GIVE.  I’m asking you to give because you understand that your support is an investment in our collective community and is a reparation to a community that has always been marginalized.
