Breanna’s Gift has been providing Art Takeout and Art Take2 video classes to American Family Children’s Hospital since 2017. When you support Breanna’s Gift in Give to the Max, you are supporting bringing the arts to children with cancer and other serious illnesses right here at American Family Hospital.

Through the magic of the arts, Breanna's Gift brings smiles to the faces of children with cancer and other serious illnesses.

Breanna’s Gift provides dance, visual arts, music and performing arts opportunities at children's hospitals and healthcare facilities. All programs are free to children, their families, and the facilities we serve. We cover all program costs, including teachers' compensation, costumes, dance shoes and supplies needed for art, music and performing arts. And the results – from the children, their families and everyone associated with Breanna's Gift – are SMILES! 

• In-Person Classes  – Workshops and weekly classes are taught by Breanna’s Gift teaching artists in hospital playrooms or individual patient rooms at Children's Minnesota in Minneapolis and Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in Saint Paul. 
• Art Takeout – a collection of “art classes in a box,” Art Takeout is designed for children too sick to leave their hospital rooms to join group classes. Each project includes instructions and all necessary supplies.
• Art Take2 – is a library of video classes that recreates classes taught live to children in our program by Breanna’s Gift teaching artists. Supplies needed for the follow-along classes are also provided. This program was created in 2020 to provide a new way to bring the arts to children.
