Give to the Max Day 2020

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States, nonprofits were required to reframe how they followed through with their key services. Islamic Resource Group has always prized ourselves on the intimate, in-person nature of our presentations and bridge building initiatives. When the opportunity arose to convert our presentations about Islam and the authentic Muslim experience to virtual formats, we are proud to say we adapted quickly and that our services continue to be in demand and more pertinent than ever due to the diligent work of our volunteer speakers, board, and staff.

Over the past six months, IRG speakers have connected virtually and in-person (safely!) with public schools, universities,  Pre-K staff, community education centers, hospice care facilities, art centers, and much more. We've hosted successful Zoom fundraisers, launched a video campaign about Ramadan, and maintained coalitions with other faith and interfaith organizations such as CAIR-MN and Minnesota Multifaith Network.

How can you help?

With your generous financial gift, you can be a direct part of helping Islamic Resource Group continue educating communities and classrooms about the authentic Muslim experience. With misinformation about Muslims rampant and skewed in the direction of non-Muslim rhetoric, we believe education about our faith from adherents of Islam is one of the best ways to combat anti-Muslim sentiments. Supporting our staff, our educational campaigns, and our speakers' resources is crucial in maintaining our ability to conduct this work.
