Previously called “Age Friendly Alexandria” it was felt that the focus of the programs involved extended far beyond the City Limits of Alexandria, we feel we are stronger when unifying our counties including Douglas, Grant, Pope, Stevens and Traverse. Our members include community residents, organizations and governmental services that aim to enhance the quality of life are available in this five county area.
Everyone is essential to supporting quality of life in our communities. Age Friendly, of course, refers to all ages!!
As a rural area, the needs in our aging communities are expansive. However, together we possess the answers and have the ability to impact change. Whether it is highlighting available services or creating programming to address the needs present, our collaboration can make a difference!
