The Horace Mann Read-a-Thon has two main purposes. First, to encourage students to develop good reading habits. Second, is to raise money for PTA budgeted items that benefit our Horace Mann School community.
We're also using this opportunity to reinforce the culture of kindness at Horace Mann by including kindness-themed books and activities with the read-a-thon.
Our PTA goal is to raise $20,000 in Read-a-Thon donations. As one of the main school fundraisers, the money raised is vital to the success of the PTA's plans for funding school-wide activities such as vocal music, the library, and Art Adventure.
