$5,000 goal

Our yards and gardens in Minnesota are providing habitat for some of the few remaining populations of the endangered rusty-patched bumble bees. One of the best ways to help these pollinators thrive is to plant more pollinator gardens.

Our goal for this project is to get more flowers onto the landscape through public outreach and support. While many people have embraced our goal, we are missing vital connections with many parts of our communities.

A gift today will provide communities with seeds and educational information. The outreach material will feature cover art by a local artist and be available in many commonly spoken languages to help reach all Minnesotans. All materials will be provided to communities at no cost to encourage plantings in areas where residents would otherwise lack the resources to create pollinator gardens.

  • $25 sends seed packets and outreach materials to a community
  • $50 provides seed packets and outreach materials for distribution at local festivals
  • $100 supports adding another plant species to the seed packets
  • $250 supports translation services to reach new communities
  • $500 supports local artists to design artwork for seed packets
  • $1,000 supports creation of model endangered pollinator gardens

Together, we can increase the pollinator's habitat and beautify neighborhoods all while supporting endangered rusty-patched bumble bees.
