To enrich the community by promoting education and opportunities in the hope of creating a legacy of pride and partnership.

Fiscal Year 2019 Grantmaking  

Awarded grants totaling $13,676, including:

City of Heron Lake to purchase an extractor washer for the Heron Lake Fire Department and EMS and Okabena Fire Department

City of Okabena:

to purchase two snowflake decorations and replace three welcome banners

to repair the trailer used to house and transport the city’s mini-golf course

to purchase replacement parts for the Okabena Fire Department Jaws of Life

ISD #330 - Heron Lake-Okabena Schools:

to purchase Spalding Elite adjustable volleyball systems for the school volleyball program 

to purchase and maintain school drumline instruments

to support the Summer Learning Academy at Heron Lake-Okabena Elementary

to help start a new chapter of Family, Careers and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)

to purchase track and field equipment

to support Positive Behavior Intervention System within the high school

to purchase updated football equipment

to help fund the Skatetime program coming 

to Heron Lake-Okabena Elementary Heron Lake Evangelical Lutheran Church to help fund the 2019 Vacation Bible School Program
