“Our home is a safe haven for girls at risk, ages 12 to 18. We look after them when no one else can. We’ve served more than 500 girls since 2007—and we’re not done yet.”

In 2020, the building burned and has yet to be rebuilt. Insurance covered only half of the rebuilding estimates.

Background:

Rhona was sexually abused. She is safe now at Guadalupe Home for Girls. Her house mother requests help with food and toiletries for 24 girls. (The home burned down in March 2020 and is still awaiting approval to be rebuilt – and the basic necessities are always a great need.)

While they await approval of the rebuilding, they are temporarily using a former convent. They are in dire need of basic necessities for food, personal items, stationaries, and food.

The Home is the lone institution on mainland St. Vincent that focuses primarily on transforming the lives of suffering and abused young girls by providing them with safe housing and a nurturing environment.
