Gold Star Ride Foundation’s 17th ride in 2 years arrives December 3 in Biloxi!
Seems weird, right? Why are we talking about Biloxi, MS and two weeks ago? Because it helps tell the story. That's where we were two weeks ago...
The Gold Star Ride Foundation, which provides honor and support for those families from which come our nation’s fallen heroes, will arrive in Biloxi, honoring families at Gold Star Family Monument at Biloxi Harbor on Thursday, December 3.
While the numbers are impressive; helping more than 240 families, traveling to all contiguous states and DC, and logging more than 58,000 miles in 29 months, this ride is impressive for honoring families as well.
Starting in the Twin Cities, as always, this ride will cover:
- more than 4,000 miles
- 40 days
- 71 family visits
- 25 states
- nearly 100 motorcycles (on and off).
“We’re very excited about this,” says Anthony Price, the Gold Star Ride Foundation’s executive director. “We’ve been discussing it and planning it for a year, and Covid19 is not going to stop us from completing our mission.”
Anthony has a few motivations for what he does. “It’s the way these families share with me how thankful they are that I keep showing up. That’s why I ride. I might not make a difference to any other person, but when I say ‘goodbye’ to a Gold Star Family, I know I made a difference to them.”
Anthony has already covered nearly 4,000 miles on this trip, and has been away from home for more than a month. After Pensacola, there are stops in Mississippi and Arkansas before heading back to Minnesota.
We now have families who have asked for our financial help, and we are struggling to provide it. We have families who still have not recovered their fathers from Vietnam, we have young adults who need a little help with college, and we have families who just need help.
When you help us, we help them.

Our stop in Pensacola resulted in yet another local news story. We made the news again when we landed in Shreveport, LA.
Covid is hard on everyone, but when we work together, everything gets easier.
