Borealis Chamber Artists connects local professional musicians with opportunities to present diverse repertoire at a high artistic level, cultivating a deep appreciation of the arts in the greater Twin Ports community.
Co-founders, Dr. Richard Carrick, Patrick Colvin, and Brian Kapp formed a new music group, Borealis Chamber Artists, a project-based group of skilled and enthusiastic musicians in the Twin Ports region. Formed of vocalists and instrumentalists of all kinds, Borealis hopes to make its mark on the area’s thriving music community, adding to its rich history of artistic excellence.
Borealis was formed after a pick-up group of musicians performed the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré at Sacred Heart Music Center in November 2022 to raise funds for the historic Felgemaker Organ there. Borealis co-founders enjoyed collaborating with musicians, both vocal and instrumental, on a project-based timeline, while producing music of the highest quality.
“This season promises something for everyone,” says Brian Kapp, Co-Founder of Borealis Chamber Artists. “From the power of Handel’s Messiah to the intimate storytelling of David Lang’s Little Match Girl Passion, we are excited to share these exceptional performances with our Duluth community.”
