Mission Statement 

To provide opportunities for our community to connect the legacy of the past to tomorrow’s dreams through charitable giving and grantmaking.

Grant total since inception (including grants made for operating expenses): $44,245

Fiscal Year 2019 Grantmaking  

Awarded grants totaling $9,077, including:

Friends of Music to fund music lessons for YME band students from the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis

Granite Area Arts Council for art supplies at art classes for children and their parent or guardian

Granite Falls Historical Society to purchase a laptop and printer

ISD #2190 - Yellow Medicine  East:

to bring in a professional theater company to introduce area youth to

theater

to fund an end of year recognition event for Bert Raney Elementary students with positive behaviors with a movie at the Montevideo Millennium Theater

to replace two sewing machines that can no longer be serviced

to start an art club after school at YME for students in grades 6-12

Neighbors United Resource Center:

to purchase perishable fruits and vegetables that are needed at the food shelf

to supplement the current supply

to provide adequate hamburger, pork, eggs and other protein products for food shelf recipients

Pioneer Public Television to launch a new animated social studies program for kids ages 4-7 titled, “Let’s Go Luna!”

Project Turnabout Addiction Recovery Center to purchase a playground that will be used by patients’ families while on campus during Family Program and visiting days

Women’s Rural Advocacy Programs, Inc. to provide victims and survivors of domestic abuse in Yellow Medicine County the opportunity to connect, learn and support others who have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence
