This fundraiser on GiveMN.org  supplements fundraising that is primarily occurring on the Foundation's website at www.epcommunityfoundation.org.

The COVID-19 Response Fund started in mid-March turns donations into quick-response grants that help nonprofits and agencies serving Eden Prairie provide food and other basic services, uninterrupted, in the wake of this pandemic. About $75,000 has been raised, and the Foundation has granted $42,500 of that.

The needs continue. The Foundation will continue to closely monitor its partner nonprofits for needs, then rely on its Grants Committee, the new Hardship Team, and the EPCF Board of Directors to allocate dollars to where they are needed most in Eden Prairie.

The Eden Prairie social-services safety net is fraying -- demand is increasing, and nonprofit fundraising events are being canceled to follow social-distancing rules -- and your donation can help neighbors in need.

Did you know that 1 in 5 Eden Prairie schoolchildren are eligible for free or reduced-price lunches because they meet low-income guidelines? Poverty is real in Eden Prairie! Let's help our neighbors experiencing poverty get through this difficult time.
