Helping feed families in need in the Northfield-Faribault area through chicken and veggie donations.

$5,000 goal

This week is Give At Home MN (May 1- May 8), and we are reaching out to you, our friends, followers and fellow donors, to ask that you help support our immigrant communities, which have been hit especially hard by the pandemic.

COVID-19 has left Main Street Project more determined than ever to ensure minority and low-income families have access to healthy food. Last week, with a generous donation from the Minneapolis Foundation, Community Connectors, Erika, Mama Tshutshu and Paola, distributed chicken to 100 families.

In the next few weeks, our Community Connectors and Growing Up Healthy will distribute over 500 potted tomato and bean plants to local neighborhood children to let them know we're thinking about them and to "bring the farm to them."

With YOUR support, we will raise more chickens and vegetables for those in our community who are food-insecure and struggling financially.

Our goal during the Give At Home MN campaign is to raise $5,000 so that we can donate 2,000 lbs. of chicken and 1,000 lbs. of fresh vegetables.

Now is the time to show true generosity through the gift of healthy food. We are grateful for any amount you can contribute and for helping us lend a hand to families facing food insecurity during these difficult times.

Sincerely,

The Main Street Project Team
