Hi friends!
It is that time of year again! Give To The Max is back, ending on November 18th! For those of you that do not know, I am a Case Manager at The Link, a local non-profit based in Minneapolis. We work with youth victimized by crime, homelessness, and poverty. The Link now has 23 separate programs which provide services ranging from support for sexually exploited youth to housing for youth experiencing homelessness.
I work within our Juvenile Justice Division, which includes the youth connection center, case management services, and programming for youth on juvenile probation. The YCC is a safe, 24/7 monitored location for law enforcement to bring youth who commit low level offenses. All youth brought to the YCC are referred to myself and our other case managers to ensure all needs are met to help them succeed. This includes school support, mental/chemical health referrals, basic needs resources, court advocacy, and any other connections they may need.
This organization that I am honored to work for relies on financial support from the community to continue doing the amazing work they have been for three decades. We are a registered 501c3 and you will receive a donation receipt with tax information for your records!
In 2020 alone:
42 trafficked youth were provided shelter and housing through our housing division
20 LGBTQ youth exited homelessness through our culturally specific Rapid Rehousing Program
229 youth and young families transitioned out of homelessness and into stable housing through our programming
Thank you for considering to help support our youth and their future!
$50 helps provide essential outreach and basic needs supplies for a youth living outside or in a vehicle
$100 helps provide one night of housing and support for a youth experiencing homelessness
$250 helps provide crisis intervention for a trafficked youth
$500 helps provide monthly individual/educational support to help a youth succeed in school
