MN GIS/LIS Consortium General Operations Fund

The Consortium hosts annual statewide conference and workshops, collaborates to recognize outstanding contributions of members and organizations, provides grants to support students and community organized activities, and establishes committees that deal with specific GIS/LIS- related matters in Minnesota. The Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium is an official 501c3 non-profit organization. Income is generated mostly from our spring workshops and annual conference. As a result of a global pandemic in 2020, the Consortium cancelled spring workshops and the conference and the Consortium operated on a “keep the lights on” budget. As a result of very little income in 2020, the Consortium has had to use reserve funds to operate in 2021. Donations to help keep our organization operating and will help fund grants, awards, and operational costs like tax preparation, insurance, and website hosting. Any donation would be greatly appreciated!
