On days when my to do list is long or a grant report is due, I often ask myself why I do this work? It always comes back to the young people. Working with our youth advisory committees is the best thing about working at The Link. Youth with lived expertise provide leadership, program oversight, evaluation and act as advocates in our community. Recently I met with the Housing Advisory committee to learn how being a member of the committee has impacted them. They had A LOT to say. The key themes were mentorship, an opportunity to make a difference and economic independence.  This year, I am asking for donations to support our Advisory Committee Members. 

Your support makes a difference:

• $25 supports a youth on a Youth Advisory Committee as they oversee our programs
• $50 helps provide a monthly bus pass so the member can get to work
• $100 supports a member as they testify at the capital
• $500 helps provide monthly educational support for the Youth Council where members learn about leadership, economic independence and other skills that will help them reach their goal
