Our team at the Mountain Lake Area Foundation is seeking your support! Donate today to support grantmaking to the Mountain Lake area in Minnesota. Fulfilling our goal of $1,000 could support two extra grants to well-deserving local organizations, community projects, and/or students in the Mountain Lake area!
Since inception, our team has granted more than $263,000 to support our community.
For example, following the tragedy of local drownings, our community rallied together to promote more swimming lessons for our youth. With no pool in town, our best solution was to send our students to the closest swimming lessons available in Jackson, MN.
Through charitable giving, we were able to support xx students with free swimming lessons and transportation.
More examples of our support for our community include downtown beautification efforts.
Small, rural communities often have little access to funds to support beautification and improvements. In partnership with the City of Mountain Lake, we were able to support these efforts with a beautiful garden on xx ave?
This year, more than xx organizations have applied to MLAF. These applications range from xx to xx. Through your help, our team will continue to support local efforts like these to promote charitable giving and facilitate the economic and social growth of the community. We hope you will consider giving to your local area foundation!
Gifts to the fund will support the grantmaking of the Mountain Lake Area Foundation.
The mission of the Mountain Lake Area Foundation is to promote charitable giving and facilitate the economic and social growth of the community. Organized under the umbrella of Southwest Initiative Foundation, the community foundation is a vehicle for making charitable contributions for the benefit of the community through a permanent endowment fund that enables people to give back and fulfill the dreams for tomorrow. A local advisory board provides oversight and directs how funds will be used for the exclusive benefit of the Mountain Lake area.
The Mountain Lake Area Foundation sets grant-making priorities through regular review of community needs and opportunities. Grants are made to qualified non-profit organizations that have an interest in building and strengthening the community and surrounding area. Since inception, the Mountain Lake Area Foundation and its related funds have granted more than $263,000 to support local organizations, community projects, and students in the Mountain Lake area.
