Bucket Brigade Theater: YES!

Support Bucket Brigade as we continue to say YES to creative connection in these challenging times.

Since last spring, when the pandemic hit, it feels like we've all been living in a world of "No." No live theater, no live concerts, just about no anything. And certainly for good reason. It's not everyday we have to navigate a global health crisis. But those Nos start to take their toll after awhile. So, our little theater company, Bucket Brigade, felt compelled to find creative ways to say "Yes." So we said YES to in-person, safely distanced, outdoor Summer Theater Camp to give students an outlet for creativity and connection. And then we said YES to Fall Theater Classes, because-gosh-darn-it, it felt good to gather and create and connect. And then we said YES to performing a real-live show for a real-live audience! Sure there were a lot of logistics and challenges to performing in a barn, in 30 degrees, during a global pandemic, but that moment, standing onstage singing "It's gonna be okay" to kids in snow boots and costumes with their parents snuggled beside was precious and profoundly worth it. Every time we've said YES and took the care and consideration to safely gather for creative connection, we see something in the eyes of our artists, students and audience. Hope.
