As some of you may know, I faced some tough times in my younger years, especially with the justice system. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to pursue higher education in juvenile justice and even more fortunate to work with a fantastic non-profit dedicated to supporting youth within the system. I’ve always felt a strong desire to give back, to reach out to those who need guidance, and to use my own experiences to help young people realize their potential and build a brighter future.

Working in this field for many years, I’ve seen firsthand that the youth we serve often lack positive influences. Our program operates primarily through state and federal grants, but these don’t always cover the additional resources and activities that could truly make a difference in their lives. As a non-profit, we sometimes have to stretch our funds to meet these needs.
