A MESSAGE FROM EMILY & DEBRA

We at E/D strive for boldness, to make the big choices. E/D work is challenging and layered. It pushes the boundaries of expectation, because we’re interested in paving new pathways, in living and making in the fullness of who we are as women and human beings. We make this work as honestly as possible, right from our experience and guts. It’s going to get messy. It’s going to get loud. It’s going to get vulnerable and exposed. Just like life. And we like it that way.

For us, making performance is an outlet and a reflection. It is an escape and a sanctuary. It saves us. It heals us. And when you come to an E/D show, we hope you feel some of the same. We pour our hearts and souls into our work in the hopes that it fills you with excitement, validation, power, and so much YES.

Today, we hope that you'll support E/D and help us continue to make vibrant performance that scribbles outside all the lines.

Thank you for being a part of the E/D family. You are essential to us.

With love and gratitude,

EMILY & DEBRA

UPCOMING PROJECT

We were just told by a healer that, in a past life, we were Ringling Brothers.

The healer said that we have a body, a mind, and a soul. And the body stays, but the mind and soul can move away from us. When they do…we get anxiety. The yellow is anxiety. And the blue is spiritual. And the red is empath. And the green, and orange, and purple. And there was a ring of gold above us that is rare, and talked about protection. Our auras together were shockingly rainbow.

With this new information, we’re on the cusp of creating our next evening length performance, which is inspired by the unseen and the past versions of ourselves that may have done epic things together. We wonder: how many lifetimes have we stood next to one another, on stage, otherwise?

While we’re in the early stages of creating this work, we know that whatever our next show becomes, it will be rooted in the powerful artistry that E/D is known for.
