1 Veteran and Service Dog Team Pairing Fund!

A couple weeks ago, the Project Delta mission was challenged with a medical emergency of one of our handlers.  His triggers impeded him from calling an ambulance and a probable hospitalization.  I called on another Veteran waiting to be placed with his own dog.  He stepped up to the plate, drove over and hour to pick up his fellow Veteran, and drive him to the Emergency Room at the hospital I work at.  He worked with this Veteran and his service dog in training to navigate the process, keep him calm and willingly take instruction from myself and a mental health provider.  Cory followed up by hosting our service dog in training overnight and returned the next day to bring this team home!  There are no words that I can use to describe my emotions if gratitude and appreciation.

 This is Family!  This is Tribe!  This is “no veteran left behind!”  This is how our dogs are a touchstone towards healing, friendship, and trust.
