Duluth Bikes (duluthbikes.org) formed in 2016 in order to provide a centralized hub for organizing and education efforts that help make Duluth a better place to ride a bike. We're a chapter of BikeMN (bikemn.org), Minnesota's longstanding statewide bicycle advocacy and education organization.

As a city, Duluth wants to provide equitable and sustainable transportation options. We also have a competitive interest in providing active commuting infrastructure to burnish our attractiveness to workers and businesses. Because of this, we're well-positioned to make a big leap forward in bike infrastructure and bike culture. Duluth Bikes will have been successful if Duluth makes that leap by earning the League of American Bicyclists Silver level bicycle-friendly community status within five years. This year, we're kicking off our work toward that goal by:

Helping city and county leaders reshape our built environment to encourage active transportation by bicycle. Partnering with schools, community clubs, and business to share our expertise in safe cycling instruction through bike rodeos and classesNormalize and sell on-street cycling through public events like the Duluth Bikes Bash, Mayor's Bike Ride, and Draft Duluth networking nights.

Thanks for your support in these efforts!
