Give 8/28 takes place during Black Philanthropy Month and honors the pivotal moments when Black excellence and determination changed the game.

Here are just a few that shaped our legacy:

August 28, 1945: Major League Baseball President Branch Rickey met with Jackie Robinson, opening doors that changed sports forever and proved what happens when talent meets opportunity.

August 28, 2005: In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Black entrepreneurs and community leaders demonstrated incredible resilience, rebuilding businesses and creating new economic opportunities from the ground up.

August 28, 2020: Chadwick Boseman, our beloved T'Challa, transitioned – leaving behind a legacy of excellence and representation that continues to inspire Black entrepreneurs everywhere.
