Doug and Denise are local missionaries from ChristLife Evangelical Church in Columbia Heights, MN. They are called to serve in South Sudan, Africa, with Harvesters Reaching the Nations (HRTN) Orphanages. There are currently over 200 orphans living in the Harvesters' compounds, where they are cared for with food, clothing, education and growing in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Savior. In 2010, Denise served at the compounds in Yei and Terekeka. Then in 2011 and 2012, both Doug and Denise returned for month-long mission trips. The call upon their hearts is strong and in 2012 they knew they were called to be full-time missionaries. HRTN began in 2001 by Denise's brother Dennis and his wife Mama Lilly. They live in the Yei compound. Their son Lance and his wife Kim run the Terekeka orphange. Denise's brother David also serves as a missionary there, bringing teams every year.

Doug and Denise serve as the Pastors at Harvesters church on the Yei orphanage compound, where they teach, preach, evangelize, organize discipleship groups, prepare outreach materials and lead several Bible studies. They are involved daily with the orphans in many ways, as well as visit families in the numerous Tukul villages surrounding the Yei compound. And they serve as needed as things arise and as the Lord leads.
Your donations go toward the $3000/monthly support for Doug and Denise as they serve in the HRTN orphanages in South Sudan.
