Help us spread the wisdom of G.K. Chesterton, “The Apostle of Common Sense.”
The American Chesterton Society works to renew the culture by introducing people to the great writer, G.K. Chesterton. Chesterton’s prophetic insight, his common sense, his profound Christian faith, and his overflowing joy are all desperately needed in our modern world.
Part of our mission is to find new ways to bring Chesterton to a wider audience. One of the most effective and delightful ways to share Chesterton is through his wonderful quotations on every subject.
In appreciation for your Give to the Max donation, we’d like to send you our newest e-book, The Pocket Chesterton: Quotes for Everyone on Every Subject. It's a perfect way to enjoy and share the joy of Chesterton!
Since 1996, we have been bringing Chesterton to the world in a number of ways. We publish new books about Chesterton, produce Gilbert! magazine, host an annual national conference, and deliver Chesterton's hope through our prison ministry.

And now we are expanding!
- We are part of a larger apostolate, The Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton (“The Apostolate of Common Sense").
- There are over seventy local Chesterton societies around the country.
- We help run the Chesterton Schools Network, a growing movement of affordable, Catholic high schools now operating in three countries.
- And most exciting of all, we are putting together the Chesterton Digital Library, which will make all of Chesterton’s writings available in an online, searchable format.

Help us make a greater impact.
As a small organization, we've learned to do a lot with a little. But we need new computers. With our growing publishing projects, the amount of data we are handling, and our expanded outreach, we must get good, reliable machines. Our crank-start, gasoline-powered models can no longer be retrofitted!
Please help us raise $4,500 so we continue our important work. With your help, we can make a bigger impact and increase our effectiveness in bringing Chesterton to a new generation, so desperately in need of his wisdom and joy.
