Help us create a space for Chanhassen history!

$1,000 goal

This year the Chanhassen Historical Society has taken stewardship of the Historic Village Hall, located in Heritage Square adjacent to Historic St. Hubert’s Church! The building will serve as the Chanhassen History Center, a place for the community to come together.

Work on our first museum display has been ongoing, despite the restrictions due to the pandemic. We are very excited about the progress we have made. The display format will be a timeline of the history of Chanhassen, from the Northampton Colony settlers in the 1860s through the development of our present downtown in the 1980s.

Please consider a contribution to help defray the costs associated with mounting an exhibit of this size. Our History Center is a very old building and while up to code on everything, we will be needing additional lighting and display hardware. Printing costs will be considerable as well.

Thank you for your support, and I look forward to meeting you in the spring of 2021 at our grand opening celebration. We will keep our members up to date as to when that will be.
