For more than 30 years, Center of the American Experiment has been the most impactful and effective public policy organization in Minnesota. It leads the way in creating and advocating policies that make Minnesota a freer, more prosperous and better-governed state.

Our vision is for a free and prosperous Minnesota whose cultural and intellectual center of gravity balances on the time-tested principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, and traditional American values.  Through research, op-eds, public forums, legislative round tables, and a stream of publications, we work to create a new Minnesota climate in which conservative ideas are better understood, appreciated, and applied.

These are troubled times, but there is one organization in Minnesota that stands unapologetically for freedom and for the principles of our Founding—Center of the American Experiment. American Experiment leads the fight for honesty and transparency in state government; for quality education that gives control to parents, not a politicized union; for the safe development of Minnesota’s vast natural resources; for equal treatment for Greater Minnesota; for spending restraint, reasonable tax rates and a competitive business climate; and for respect for law enforcement.
