Our Story: 

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!

10 years ago, a group of people came together and took a class on stage combat. Out of that group sprang Last Action Movie. Almost immediately upon finishing the class (read: probably a month or two), HUGE Theater opened it's doors, and we took the stage. First as part of the Sunday show Improv-A-Go-Go, then as part of the HUGE Wednesdays runs, and finally to our first 45-minute structure, on Friday nights. We have been performing at HUGE and around the Twin Cities since, always bringing the action, always bringing the energy.

HUGE Theater gave us a place to perform, and led to opportunities for us to perform at Festivals in Miami, Chicago, Atlanta, Toronto (CA), Milwaukee, Denver, and Omaha (to name a few... actually, that might be all of them). HUGE also gave us a space to perform and develop our style, both as a group and individually. It's fair to say that we wouldn't be the group we are now without HUGE Theater.

We know that times are tough, during this global pandemic. This pandemic has taken a heavy toll on the MN Performing Arts Scene. We haven't had a show since this all began, and members of our group have had their side projects cancelled or put on hold. Some have transitioned to digital formats, but there is no replacing live theater. But, as Butch Roy, a Founder of HUGE Theater likes to state, "We are the first to close, and the last to open."

Last Action Movie, as a group, would not be where we are today without HUGE, and that is why we have performed at every Improvathon, and why we will continue to support this theater. So, please, if you have anything to spare, any donation can help.
