Update #1
We are nearly our goal for raising funds with generous donations from the Hanover Lions and Rockford Lions. With three months left we are still in need of $1,450 to move forward with this important project. Please consider supporting Will Czech's final stretch of fundraising for his Eagle Scout project with a donation.
I am Will Czech Scouts BSA Troop 3490 and have selected as my Eagle Scout Service Project the replacement of a property fence at the Ames-Florida-Stork House Museum in Rockford, Minnesota. The house was built during 1861 and is one of the oldest homes in Minnesota open for tours. It is operated by the Rockford Area Historical Society (RAHS). The fence is around 250 feet long, and we will be replacing it with a vinyl non maintenance fence rather than wood. The benefit of this project would be to reestablish an accurate property line due to an error when building the old fence. It will also look much better than the current fence which is in disrepair and being held together with zip ties and wire. Some sections are laying on the ground and others are simply gone. My family and I have volunteered in the past at this historic property during spring clean up, we have placed wood duck houses along the river bank of the property and helped in other projects. The RAHS has committed to match any donations I raise up to $6,000 to cover the expense of this project. This project will teach me many new skills including project management, coordinating volunteers, construction and team building. I thank you for supporting my goal of becoming an Eagle Scout by donating towards this project.
