June 27 Pantry Event a big success!

Update posted 5 years ago

On June 27, our volunteer shoppers and pantry distributors helped give out almost $2,100  (raised through offline and online donations) in perishables and on-perishables to families in our partner school's community. We had another few hundred dollars of items donated through AccessAbility, Inc., a local non-profit serving persons with disabilities and other barriers to employment and community inclusion. Big shout out to that staff!

If you want to make a donation, all monies donated to this campaign will continue to go directly to families and children we serve in the North Minneapolis area.

Thank you to all of our donors and volunteers!

100% of every dollar raised goes to families and children in need.

The Ripples of Kindness Foundation believes every drop of kindness creates a ripple effect, often times beyond what we see. During uncertain times like these, it is especially important we cling to the hope that comes in the form of humanity. We hope you will strongly consider donating to this cause which will go a long way to providing some much needed groceries and goods for families hard hit by the current events out of their control.

Recent riots and looting have destroyed numerous Minneapolis businesses, grocery stores, markets, pharmacies, making important resources difficult to get for families already near crisis due to the COVID19 pandemic. As a result, Ripples of Kindness is creating this campaign in support of one of its partner schools--Franklin Middle School and Nu Way Baptist Church to facilitate a goods drive in support of their families. We are currently taking monetary donations, 100% of which will be spent directly on goods provided to these families. The community has prioritized the needs as follows:

1. Baby Items - diapers of all sizes, formula, wipes

2. Paper Products - toilet paper, paper towels, disinfectant wipes

3. Hygiene Products - shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste,   toothbrushes, floss, soap, feminine hygiene products

4. Non-perishable grocery items

Additionally, due to loss of grocery store(s), there is a high need for perishable grocery items such as milk, eggs, bread, deli meats, etc. We will be working with the local church to make perishable items available to families as well.

We appreciate all donations during these uncertain times to help families who have been hard hit by both the COVID19 pandemic as well as the neighborhood unrest which has taken away important resources.

REMEMBER Ripples of Kindness is a 501c3. If your company grants matching donations, this is a great opportunity to double your impact!
