$4,000 goal

On May 20, we will partner with homelessness service agencies to provide an eye care clinic for our community members experiencing unstable housing. Our team will assess individuals for glasses need, dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, glaucoma, and other specific eye issues.

This eye care clinic will be held at The Landing MN in Rochester, Minnesota. Medical students and physicians will provide free eye exams and specialty care. Eyeglasses will be provided at no cost to visitors of the eye care clinic.

With your generous support, we will be able to fund medical supplies and equipment to be able to prescribe corrective lenses and diagnose common eye-related conditions. We will also be able to provide eyeglasses and reading glasses for individuals. For those without specific eye complaints, we can provide safety goggles and/or reading glasses and perform annual comprehensive exams.

Following the eye care clinic at The Landing MN in May, we will provide eye care and glasses through regular drop-in clinics at additional locations and through street rounds.

We hope that the care, education, and supplies that people receive at the eye care clinic this May and at the drop-in clinics and street rounds that follow will help improve vision and the quality of life of our community.
