In September of 1998, Jeff was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. (NHL) He had a very aggressive tumor growing on his heart and aorta that was inoperable. After 6 months of chemotherapy at the Mayo Clinic, doctors instructed him the tumor was now out of control and they were out of options. They suggested he get his final arrangements in order as they predicted he had 4-6 weeks to live. With a wife and two young sons, Jeff was not willing to give up that easy and contacted the U of M hospital. His oncologist confirmed his serious situation and offered to fight trying experimental drugs or keep Jeff comfortable for his remaining days. Jeff opted to fight for the sake of his family. Through the miracles of medicine and doctors who were willing to go the extra distance, he is here today. He was saved through months of experimental chemo drugs and on June 23rd, 1999 he underwent an allogeneic bone marrow transplant with cells donated by his older brother Greg.

Our team strives to make all cancer patients cancer survivors! Thank you all for your tremendous support. Together we are saving lives and are truly making a difference!  "NEVER GIVE UP"
