The Ambassadors for Respect program is an award-winning program that supports individuals with developmental disabilities in promoting self advocacy and delivering an anti-bullying program that talks with elementary school students about:
- Accepting differences and including others
- Using kind, not hurtful words
- People First language
- Being an advocate for one-self and others.
As many as one third of all school-age children in the U.S. report being bullied. What is more, 60% of young people with a disability nationwide report being bullied regularly. You can help more youth at a young age be reached with a message that helps to prevent bullying before it begins.
Thank you for your generosity.
