For Veterans living with disabilities, a highly trained service dog can provide life-changing support, greater independence, and confidence in everyday life. At the same time, rescue dogs in our community are waiting for an opportunity—and for some, that opportunity may lead to an extraordinary new purpose.

This Give to the Max, Believet Canine Service Partners and Spot’s Last Stop Canine Rescue are joining forces to create more opportunities for rescue dogs and Veterans alike.

Through our partnership, Spot’s Last Stop helps identify rescue dogs who may have the temperament and potential for service work. Believet then evaluates those dogs and, for those who are a good fit, provides the extensive training and care needed to prepare them for a future partnership with a Veteran.

But finding the right dogs and preparing them for service takes resources. With your support, we can create more opportunities for rescue dogs to begin the journey toward service.

More rescue dogs can be evaluated for service work. More food, veterinary care, training equipment, and everyday supplies can be provided for dogs in the program. More qualified dogs can move forward in their training. And more Veterans can have the opportunity to be matched with a highly trained service dog—at no cost to them.

This Give to the Max, Believet and Spot’s Last Stop have a goal of raising $15,000 together.

Reaching our goal means greater capacity to identify dogs with service potential, provide the resources they need to succeed, and create more possibilities for future Veteran and service dog partnerships.

Together, we can give more rescue dogs the opportunity to find their purpose and give more Veterans hope for greater independence ahead.
