Our center began as Lake Minnetonka Life Care Center in 1991 offering pregnancy counseling and testing along with material assistance such as clothing, food and diapers. Since then, we have expanded our services to accommodate our ever-growing geographic area, clientele and their needs.  

Company Goals and Objectives
Our primary objective is to reach young women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and those seeking a natural approach to health wellness.  We plan to achieve this through a high-profile location offering organic client exposure/traffic, social media and digital marketing as well as through community outreach.  

Our second, but equally important objective is to seek new donors and obtain grants to fund our growth.  We plan to achieve this with the full commitment of the ED and the board of directors, the current community of donors, community outreach to supporting organizations such as churches and organizing a volunteer fundraising committee headed by one of our board members.

SouthWest Options for Women started 2021 with an official new name, a new location, new services, and a renewed energy! Will you help us celebrate by assisting in our continued mission?

For nearly 30 years, SouthWest Options for Women, a 501c3 organization, has been offering services to our community that focus on women faced with an unexpected pregnancy. Our Center began in 1991 as Lake Minnetonka Life Care Center, offering pregnancy counseling and testing along with material assistance such as clothing, food and diapers. This year we officially changed our legal name to SouthWest Options for Women, as our area of coverage has increasingly expanded to cover the entire southwest metro.

Because of our ever-growing geographic area, its clientele and their needs, we’ve made the decision to broaden our services and to seek a new location. We have secured a new space in the heart of the communities we serve.  We are now located near the Eden Prairie Mall, sharing a parking lot with Planned Parenthood. This will give us the enormously blessed opportunity to reach many more abortion-minded clients on a daily basis sharing with them all their options. We will be there for them as they leave the Planned Parenthood center, only steps from our door.

Our services are private-donor funded and are free of charge to our clients. But we need your help.

 How can you assist us in our mission?

• Donate towards our monthly rent:  $3,000 month / $36,000 annual budget.

• Donate towards our medical fund: $50,000 annual budget (Midwife, Nurse, RDMS (sonographer), medical supplies).

• Donate towards our general fund: $160,000 annual budget for client services, material assistance programs, education programs, advertising and center operations.
