As part of our learning here in India, Dmitry Adams and Kate Schiffman have decided to get hands on learning about fundraising, but challenging themselves and each other to a race against time. We will be raising $10,000 in the next 5 days for Charity: Water, an organization that is on a mission to bring clean drinking water to every person on the planet!
Charity: Water is an organization with a simple mission that has the potential to positively affect 800 million people (1 in 9 on the planet!) for the better. For $6000-$10,000 we can sponsor a water project that will bring clean water to a geographical area tha is in the most need.
Water Changes Everything
Without water health becomes unpredictable, education is disrupted, hygiene almost impossible and food insecurity a reality. With water a whole new world of opportunity opens up and areas are lifted out of uncertainty and poverty. In fact, every $1 invested in improved water access and sanitation yields up to $12 in economic returns.
