Let's Build a Bike Park! Give to the Max Day 2024

SECRETS OUT! We are building a bike park! 

At the Northland Arboretum we are all about getting people outside in nature. We already offer snowshoeing, skiing, hiking, gardening, a nature playscape, and more. After our community needs survey we learned, people want more! We heard our community, and we want more too. This is why we are building a bike park! 

When finished this will be Central Minnesota's largest bike park. The park will include elements to help riders improve their skills and prepare for the more technical trails in the Brainerd Lakes Area. It will also include a tot track and over a mile of adaptive cycling trails through our newly renovated pollinator habitat.

Some benefits that this will provide to those in our community are as follows:

• Bike parks are an excellent way to get residents (especially young people) outdoors, attract tourism, improve quality of life, and bring economic growth to your community
• A place to learn how to bike in a safe, controlled environment, instilling a sense of independence and confidence in all riders.
• Bike Parks offer young and old alike a chance to improve their skills while promoting healthy active lifestyles and having more fun than should be allowed. 

The Northland Arboretum is a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can spend time in nature while improving their health with various options of activities. We are very excited to add biking into our array of fun! We have big plans and dreams to make this bike park not only a place to play but a place for families to learn and grow together.
