A Place to Grow: Building Our Outdoor Learning & Play Spaces Together

Once upon a time, our schoolyard was just a patch of grass and a few swings. Children ran, played, and dreamed of more space to explore, but their imaginations went beyond what was available. Teachers envisioned gardens where lessons could bloom outdoors. Families pictured fields where students could run, play ball, and cheer for one another.

Now, we have a chance to bring that vision to life.

We are launching a fundraiser to create a nature-centered playground for our elementary students and a community-centered activity space for our middle school students. These outdoor areas will give our students room to grow, play, and learn in ways that connect them with nature, teamwork, and one another.

For our Elementary Students, we envision:

• A play court for basketball and active games ($20,000–$35,000).

• A nature-inspired playground designed for imaginative play ($40,000–$75,000).

• A garden area for hands-on science and learning ($5,000–$10,000).

For our Middle School Students, we envision:

• A play court for basketball and volleyball ($20,000–$35,000).

• A ball field and flag football field for teamwork and competition ($25,000–$50,000).

• A shared garden space where older students mentor younger ones ($5,000–$10,000).

• Picnic tables for outdoor lunches and gatherings ($1,500 each).

This is more than a playground—it’s a hub for learning, wellness, and community. By supporting this project, you’re helping us grow a space where children can move their bodies, expand their minds, and build memories that last a lifetime.
