We have topped $6,795 towards my goal of $7,500 if you are so inspired please donate.

Funds going to creating public parks and a 20th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial along the shores of Lake Minnetonka.

In partnership with the City of Wayzata; honoring the 20th Anniversary of the tragic events of 9.11 we have planned a memorial monument to be placed in the new Plaza Park along the shores of Lake Minnetonka in downtown Wayzata. The space will offer community members a place to remember and reflect, especially each year on September 11.  This memorial will honor one of Minnesota's native sons Gordy Aamoth Jr., and the lives of all victims of September 11th.

This tribute will be a tangible reminder of our nation's collective strength and resolve.   Something we need now more than ever!

On the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks,  September  11th, 2021,  we are planning a memorial event in the Birch Grove in the Plaza Park in downtown Wayzata.

For generations, the Wayzata lakefront has provided unique and cherished memories to people from across the state. We are working to make sure this unique asset will continue to be enjoyed for generations to come.
